Fun with Play Dough

They cancelled preschool today because it was too hot (they don't have air-conditioning) so we made play dough instead.  It was really easy to make and it kept the kiddos entertained for a good hour.  

Connor's First Day of School!

Connor started pre-school today at St. Paul's Lutheran School!  He didn't start until 12:40 so he has been bouncing off the walls all morning and asking me every ten minutes if we could go to school all ready.  I am glad that he is excited.  I am excited to have a couple hours in the afternoon with just Evelyn.

Nauvoo Trip

We went to Nauvoo on Friday with my parents.  It was so much fun!  We are definitely going to have to go again another time.

We got to ride on a covered wagon pulled by oxen.  I love the expression on Connor's face...he looks a little nervous.

Amish Country

My parents are in town (yeah!) and today we thought it would be fun to go check out Amish Country.  We stopped at a little country store, and these cute kids pulled up.  My Dad asked if it would be okay if they gave Connor a ride down the drive.  Connor loved it (you can see him sitting between the two girls).  It really was a fun day.

Our Home

This is our beautiful home!  I can't find the before pictures but all of the wood in the kitchen (including the cupboards), dining room, and family room was this old, dark, ugly color.  We have spent a lot of time painting and we still have a lot to go.  We have four bedrooms, two and a half baths, a formal living room, family room, and finished basement with a playroom.  I will post more pictures of our house as we finish painting.   Evelyn's room is really cute, but she was sleeping in it when I took pictures, so it will have to wait.

Connor wanted to make cards today, so I got out my watercolors for him to play with.  He painted these all by himself and I think he did a beautiful job.

I wanted to a take a picture of the artist, but he was not cooperating.  It is so hard lately to get Connor to smile for the camera.                                

Evelyn, on the other hand, was being very cute for the camera.
